Tobacco, cranberry and red plum with white pepper spice.
The palate is a bit softer than expected due to less aging. Cherry and cranberry, anise and white pepper, with a little tobacco on the finish.
The vintners behind this wine, Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray, are childhood friends from the village of Davayé in the Mâconnais. Not only did they go into business together as the owners of Domaine des Deux Roches and Antugnac, but they also married into the same family.
