Full bodied, fruit and minerals.
This wine is mainly made up up of Carigan (50%) and Grenache (30%), 70 to 100 years of age, completed with 20% Syrah. The vertical profile of Carnigan perfectly compliments the roundess of Grenache to give a Mediterranean wine, full-bodied, fleshy and fruit. The old vines, through direct contact with the bedrock, add length and minerality to the wine.
The terroir at Les Roc des Anges vineyard has a vein of quartz running through it and so they named the estate the rock of angels.
