When Jean-Louis Vicard bought Chåteau de Candale in 2010, the vineyards weren’t in good shape. After they plowed and aerated the soil to keep it from suffocating the vines and then planted grains and grass, butterflies, ladybugs and grasshoppers returned, proving that their rehabilitation paid off.
