Elegant red fruit and strong tobacco tannins.
Dressed in deep purple and brilliant. Nose with elegant aromas of red fruits and spices. In the mouth a fleshy wine, very complex. Tannins are abundant. One feels a raw material—ripe and concentrated.
These acidic granite soils drive the pH of the wines higher than other soil types, like limestone, gravel, sand or alluvium. This makes the wines far more savory and salty, with an iron-like minerality in the aroma and a powerful but fine finish.
