Last Saturday, we made a recipe provided by the cocktail mavens at Dipsology, and the surprising combo of sparkling rosé and tequila was fantastic (seriously, this cocktail will take any brunch up a notch). Check out the recipe below and if you make it, send us some pics! (We’ll post them here so everyone can see your bartending skills!)
AGAVE & GRAPES
Adapted from a recipe by Alex Valencia, head bartender at the Flatiron Lounge
- .75 oz simple syrup
- .75 oz lemon juice
- 1 strawberry
- 1 oz tequila blanco (we used Lunzaul Tequila Blanco ($20))
- Balance with sparkling brut rosé (we used our Domaine Saint Vincent Rosé ($14))
Put the strawberry in the shaker and add the simple syrup, muddle, add the lemon and tequila, add ice and shake, double strain and serve into a flute glass. Finish it off with the sparkling rosé and garnish with a strawberry slice on top of the drink.
