Longtime Tipsy customers will recognize the large cardboard box that currently serves as our speaker stand, but inside contains hundreds of corks waiting to be recycled. That’s because it’s really a ReCORK box!

ReCORK collects corks and recycles them to create new products. They even send their recycled corks to other businesses to make their own things.

They’re also carbon negative, meaning their overall impact on the carbon footprint shrinks it! Part of this comes from their planting of cork oak trees. As we discussed yesterday, cork oak trees make a huge impact to the biodiversity and health of the local ecosystem.

Next time you come to Tipsy, bring your natural corks (not the synthetic kind) and we’ll toss them in the bin for you!
