In the Spring of Things

Now that Spring has finally sprung, we’re excited to whip up refreshing, warm weather cocktails. To get the ball rolling, Diane from New York Distilling Company stopped by to mix us up a pink, bubbly drink made with their Dorothy Parker Gin ($34). Here’s the recipe so you can start to celebrate the season too!

Add the ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a tall glass over ice. Top with seltzer and a lemon wedge. (Don’t want to make hibiscus syrup? No problem! You can use simple syrup, but your cocktail won’t be pretty in pink!)

Hibiscus Syrup
Add hibiscus petals or tea to one cup hot water and let steep. Remove the petals/tea and stir in one cup of white sugar until dissolved.

Pro tip: You can use any type of tea or spices you want to make all kinds of syrup. (Think cinnamon or cardamom for specialty cocktails!)
