Stolpman is a beautiful winery making balanced California wines in Ballard Canyon. Founded by husband and wife team Tom and Marilyn in 1998 who handed the reins to their son Pete and his wife Jessica in 1990, there is a true sense of merging of family and land. When Pete took over he stopped selling off fruit and began bottling. With a hands on approach the tenderly loved fruit comes into the winery without mechanization and is fermented without inoculation, sulfur or other additions making it biodynamic and organic.

This is a soft and quiet rosé upon first encounter- the nose is quiet and clean, not a typical California shouter. Fruit is bright and tart- grapefruit, star fruit, lime, and some raspberries. It’s clean and dry with a bit of white peppery kick. Great for refreshment, goat cheese or delicate fish.
