Imagine sitting in the French countryside on a warm summer day without a care in the world and with a glass of light, fruity, pink wine in your hand. That is exactly the vibe you’ll get when drinking From the Tank Rosé 3L BiB, described as a “vacation in a glass.” Created by natural wine queen Jenny Lefcourt, the “From the Tank” line of boxed wines was inspired by her time living in France when she would go to the local winery, fill up a jug, and take it home to enjoy. Now living in New York, Jenny has brought a touch of France to the States.

To create From the Tank, Jenny partnered with longstanding collaborator Christophe Aguilar at Domaine de La Patience, a Mediterranean estate in the South of France that was established in 1930. It derives its name from an aromatic herb that can be found throughout the vineyards (called “La Patience”). Christophe took over the family business in 1998, and by 2007, he had turned it into a fully organic vineyard. Christophe’s other big change: modifying the vinification methods toward a less interventionist approach with significantly fewer additives. The wines that Christophe makes for Jenny & François come either from his own organic certified grapes or ones that were sustainably sourced.

Jenny and her team at Jenny & François Selections not only make great wine but do it in an eco-friendly way. The wine is first put into a bag and then the box. This bag-in-box packaging is the most carbon-efficient type available and produces the least waste, resulting in a 55% lower carbon footprint and 85% less landfill waste. The plastic used is 100% free of BPA or BPS residues, and the paperboard is recyclable. An added bonus is that the minimal packaging makes it ideal for outdoor events and activities, since it is lightweight and shatter-proof. It’s truly a wine you can feel good about drinking!

And for the rosé specifically? It is a dry, light rosé brimming with notes of red berries, peach, and red currant. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, it is fresh, crisp, and refreshing. It’s easy to drink and perfect for the summer.

Another great perk of From the Tank Rosé is that it can last up to a month when kept in the refrigerator (though chances are it will be gone much, much before then).
