Earth Month Spotlight: Via Revolucionaria Criolla Grande

Post image

Winemaker Matias Michelini makes small production (single vineyard, 600 cases), unique Terroir driven organic wines. This is Criolla Grande (a sibling varietal to the Chilean grape Pais). Criolla is actually planted more than the popular Argentinian export, Malbec. It’s thick-skinned, and is not often vinified in small production lots. It has native yeast, is organic, and grows in gravel soil that ferments juiciness at 3400 ft elevation.

With notes of light red fruit- pomegranate and raspberry, lots of clove and spice. Chill this a bit, chill yourself a lot.
