When one of our customers mentioned that he created a new cocktail inspired by a mariachi dancer in Mexico, we knew we had to try it. Our Don Amado Mezcal was the perfect boozy match for his blood orange-based recipe; proving that winter shouldn’t limit you to red wine and warming whiskey. Here’s the recipe so you can have your own Mexican vacation without leaving your kitchen.

- 2 parts Don Amado Mezcal Reposado ($53)
- 2 parts fresh blood orange juice
- 1 part fresh lime juice
- ½ part Marie Brizard Triple Sec ($20)
- Squirt of agave nectar
- Dash of cayenne pepper (to taste)
- 4 ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker. Shake, pour into a glass and be transported to a tropical locale.
