After meeting at school and bonding over wine and horses Marjorie and Stephane Gallet dove into the wine world directly after graduation. While working for different estates and learning winemaking philosophies and technical management skills Marjorie, then 23, went looking for vines for their estate project and came upon the Roussillon region and an area called Roc Blanc (French for “white rock”) with a strip of quartz through it which led to Le Roc des Anges (“rock of angels”). Their first estate was a new beginning where they relied on the surrounding nature which led them to biodynamic farming.

Since moving from their original estate and settling to their current winery in 2014 they have continued their biodynamic practices and working in harmony with nature. Papillon Blanc has notes of tropical fruit and jasmine with fresh minerality and pairs wonderfully with cheese, fish and chicken.
