We’re closing out Earth Month with one of our favorite chillable reds. Alexander Koppitsch Rét comes from Austria and has a long family history. For over 500 years the Koppitsch family has been making natural wines with low intervention practices and rejecting all artificial additives. Maria and Alex took over the vineyard in 2011 and have been implementing the traditions taught by Alex’s family for generations. With a focus on biodynamic principles, a holistic approach, and lots of hand crafting their wines are all made without sulfur supplements, fining or filtration and a high respect for the land.

This delicious chillable red is a perfect spring pairing with its exuberant red fruit peppered with spice and pairs exceptionally well with cheese, chicken and something a little spicy.
