Are you partaking in “Damp January” with us? Maybe you’re just looking to prep for some sips down the road. In any case, we’ve got a few bottles to ameliorate things going into the upcoming weekend.
This week’s highlights are not too strong, easy on the wallet, and they hit all the right notes for friendly food pairings. And (as it turns out), they all feature the letter ‘M’ somewhere in their name! Must be a sign.
Montgravet Blanc ($12) A delightful blend of lively citrus and tropical fruit.
Château Maris QR Bubbles ($19) A ripe, appley sparkler with hints of walnut. Brought to you by one of the most eco-friendly wineries in the world!
Paolo Petrilli Motta del Lupo Red ($16) Rich notes of dried cherries, herbs, cardamom, and rose.
Domaine la Montagnette Cotes du Rhone ($15) Full-bodied blackberries with thyme and lavender.
Method Vermouth, Sweet and Dry ($20) Method delivers a complex, herbal libation and is made here in NY state. Much appreciated either being sipped over rocks or had in a mellow cocktail. Recently featured in this article from mashed too (oh my)!
