Women in Wine and Spirits: Myriam Ambuzer

Post image

As part of Women’s History Month, we at Tipsy want to shine a light on our favorite women involved in the wine and spirits business, whether they’re new to the game or industry veterans.

Myriam Ambuzer is an enologist who has worked with the Lyrarakis Wines estate since 2002.

Her approach, focused on expressing authenticity and achieving harmony without following a recipe book, has helped Lyrarakis earn a place among Crete’s top wineries. Myriam has produced outstanding wines such as Dafni, Thrapsathiri, Vidiano, and her signature bottle, Vilana.

In an interview with The Femme Vine she said, “The wine tells stories from the Cretan mountains, the flora and unique ancient Greek varieties. These are ancient stories, with a new cover.”

Pick up a bottle of Lyrarakis Liatiko Red ($22) at Tipsy and explore the vibrant stories told by Myriam’s work!
